In the 1970’s, Sammy Heath started building pole barns from the back of his pickup truck, one at a time. In 1985, he added a truss plant to manufacture and sell trusses.  After another successful 15 years, Sammy retired and sold the business to his younger brother, Richard.  Richard and his wife, Ruth, operated the business until they retired and sold the business to Josh and Ashley Heath in the summer of 2023.

Employees at Heath Buildings have years of experience designing and building commercial, farm and residential structures. Every structure built by Heath Buildings is unique and custom designed. Heath Buildings also sells building packages for customers interested in do-it-yourself construction projects.

Heath Buildings has their own construction crews and sells steel roofing and siding and continues to operate the truss plant. The trusses are engineered and certified by Alpine. The company has been a member of the Western Kentucky Construction Association since 2000, and is part of the Western Kentucky Home Builders Association, the National Frame Builders Association and the Better Business Bureau.
